This notice explains how AIAether Likeness Technologies LLP handles personal data when you use aiaether-likeness.com, create or interact with an AI digital twin, or contact us. It also applies when another user provides information about you. Contact us at [email protected].
1. Information we handle
- Account and profile. Name, email, sign-in method, hashed password for email accounts, optional profile image, and account verification and reset information. If you sign in with Google, we receive profile information such as your name, email, account identifier, and profile image where available.
- Photos, voice, and twin details. Photos and optional voice samples you upload, the resulting avatar, names, language, and the background information you enter. This can include another person’s likeness or voice. For people depicted in a twin, the source is the user who supplied the media or details.
- Conversations and groups. Messages, group membership and invitations, audio and video streams during calls, and conversation memory. When supported by your browser, a one-to-one call can use speech recognition and save portions of your speech as text. We use stored text and prior messages to give AI replies context. Other participants receive the content you share in a group.
- Purchases and usage. Pack and wallet records, purchase references, confirmation status, and call minutes. Dodo collects payment details at checkout. AIAether does not store full payment card numbers.
- Support and technical information. Support messages, account requests, session and security information, and connection or diagnostic data such as IP addresses, browser information, and logs.
2. Why we use it
We use the information to provide sign-in, create twins, run calls and chat, keep track of minutes, confirm purchases, respond to support requests, and prevent abuse. We also use records where needed for accounting, legal obligations, or disputes.
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we rely on contract necessity to provide requested account and paid features to users, legitimate interests where appropriate to operate and secure the Service and prevent fraud, legal obligations for required records, and consent where required. Where applicable law treats a specific use of likeness or voice data as sensitive, that use requires an applicable legal basis and any additional permission or condition required by law. Users who upload another person’s media must have the required rights and permissions.
3. Who receives information
- AI and call providers. Our avatar and AI video call provider processes the photos and call data needed to create avatars and run calls. Contact us for information about the providers that received your data. xAI helps generate chat replies using submitted text and relevant conversation context. Browser speech recognition and communications infrastructure may also process call data. Cloudflare can relay group call traffic when a direct connection is unavailable.
- Hosting, sign-in, and email. Google Cloud hosts the Service. Google handles optional Google sign-in. Our email provider sends verification, reset, and other account messages.
- Payments. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for purchases made through Dodo. It collects payment and billing data and has its own privacy notice at checkout. Older payment records may relate to the provider shown on the original receipt.
- Other people and disclosures. People in your groups can see content you share with them. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect rights or safety.
4. Cookies and embedded videos
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and connect your requests to your account. Pages may load resources from external providers, such as fonts or YouTube thumbnails. When you press Play on an embedded tutorial, the YouTube player connects to YouTube and may use cookies or similar technology under its own policies. Browser settings let you control cookies, but blocking session cookies can prevent sign-in.
5. International processing and retention
We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where the law requires safeguards for international transfers, we must use a legally recognized transfer mechanism. Contact us to ask about the destinations and safeguards relevant to your data.
We keep account, twin, and conversation data for as long as needed to provide the features you use and handle account requests. Support and security records are kept as needed to resolve issues, investigate abuse, and meet legal obligations. Purchase and refund records may be kept longer for accounting, tax, or disputes. Retention depends on the record, the purpose, and applicable law.
You can request account deletion in Settings. Confirming that request starts removal of twin data and media from the app and may sign you out. The account request is recorded for review. Removal from provider systems or backups may take longer, and some records may be retained where required or permitted by law. Contact support if you need a status update or want to request deletion of a specific photo, voice sample, or twin.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your data, restrict or object to some uses, or withdraw consent where we rely on it. In the EEA and UK, you can also complain to the relevant data protection authority. Where applicable US state law grants additional rights, including opt-out or appeal rights, you can contact us to exercise them. You can ask us to review the use of your likeness even if you have no account.
Use Help & Support or email [email protected] with the request. We may verify your identity and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
7. Children, security, and updates
Accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account or if a child’s information was uploaded without the necessary permission. We use measures including HTTPS, password hashing, and account access controls to help protect personal data. We will update this notice and provide additional notice when required.
